Seuls l’amour et l’art rendent l’existence tolérable. William Somerset Maugham
« Petit-fils d’immigré républicain espagnol, mon travail est traversé par une énergie libertaire de par mes convictions mais aussi au sens où mon activité est solitaire et veut s’affranchir des réflexes de la photographie académique. Fils unique, c’est seul que j’ai créé mon univers d’images mentales. Si le geste photographique est souvent réduit à « l’instant décisif » cher à Cartier Bresson, je m’inscris plutôt dans une recherche de « l’instant contemplatif ». Ces quelques secondes de temps suspendu où les corps et les éléments se figent et où les émotions se cristallisent.
Attentif aux moments de vie publics ou intimes, je pratique le « trouvé-créé » décrit par Alain Bergala, avec un refus du spectaculaire comme sujet ou valeur photographique. Je recherche la simplicité de la capture d’image en lumière naturelle et une texture rappelant les appareils Lomo ou Zenit au faible piqué ; car comme l’a dit Jean-Luc Godard avec malice : « Les Impressionnistes, ce n’était pas de la Haute Définition ! »
Mon univers tourne autour des thèmes de la nature, du corps et de l’intime. De la figuration à l’abstraction, je développe un regard sensible conjuguant étrangeté et passion. Ma vision du corps féminin écarte la vulgarité et les stéréotypes glamour de la photo de nu en respectant les corps dans leurs singularités et leurs histoires, allant d’une délicate suggestion à un érotisme jubilatoire.
Ma pratique et ma culture du cinéma expérimental font que je réalise mes clichés sans apprêt, dans une sorte de transe fulgurante proche d’un bref état de conscience modifié. Parmi mes travaux en noir et blanc que je nomme achromaties, je déploie plusieurs recherches : la prise de vue non recadrée, la double exposition sur un même lieu et l’abstraction tapie dans la réalité.
Chacune de mes photos est une pièce de puzzle d’un voyage intérieur. Avec, quelque soit le lieu ou le moment, un point de vue intime, un regard personnel mélancolique ou émerveillé ».

« Grandson of a Spanish republican immigrant, my work is crisscrossed by a libertarian energy of my convictions but also in the sense that my activity is solitary and wants to get rid of the reflexes of academic photography. Being an only son, I created myself my universe of mental images. If the photographic gesture is often reduced to the Cartier Bresson « decisive moment » , I rather subscribe to a search for the « contemplative moment ». These few seconds of suspended time where bodies and elements freeze and emotions crystallize.
Attentive to moments of public or intimate life, I practice the « found-created » described by Alain Bergala, with a rejection of the spectacular as subject or photographic value. I search for the simplicity of capturing images in natural light and a texture reminiscent of the devices Lomo or Zenit with the low resolution ; and as Jean-Luc Godard said maliciously: « Impressionists were not high definition! »
My universe revolves around the themes of nature, body and intimacy. From figuration to abstraction, I develop a sensitive look combining strangeness and passion. My vision of the female body removes the vulgarity and the glamorous stereotypes of nude photography by respecting the bodies in their singularities and stories, ranging from a delicate suggestion to a jubilatory eroticism.
My practice and my culture of experimental cinema make me realize my pictures without preparation, in a kind of dazzling trance close to a brief state of modified consciousness. Among my black and white works entitled « Achromatia« , I deploy several researches : the unrecropped shooting, the double exposure on the same place and the abstraction lurking in reality.
Each of my photos is a puzzle piece of an inner journey through time. With, whatever the place or the moment, an intimate point of view, a personal look melancholic or amazed ».
